Mika the Mouse preparing tea party in the woods

Mika’s Father is half Finnish which makes Mika a quarter Scandinavian which he is very proud of.

Every now and then he goes to visit his family in Finland and he would always bring back the best chocolate in the world (better than Belgium chocolate, he always says), salty liquorice that makes your eyes water when you eat it and lots and lots of cheese. Apparently cheese is not cheese at all if it is not from Finland, although he rather likes a good chunk of Cheddar, but he wouldn’t admit to it.

Mika carries Finnish traditions with pride and every year the folks of Bilberry Woods are invited for a Mid Summer’s night party, a Mayday Party, pre-Christmas party, Santa Lucia’s day, a crayfish party, Easter Sunday and of course birthday parties. Plus he has a whole collection of Moomin mugs and two Alvar Aalto vases.

Likes: Surprise, surprise – cheese. Traditions, especially those that you can celebrate by having a party.

Dislikes: Plans that are changed at the last minute.

Motto: An occasion not worth celebrating with a party is no occasion at all.
