Let me show you how fun easy it is to make little felt strawberries! I love them and Bilberry Woods character Mika the Mouse loves them too :)
You will need:
- Red and green felt
- Yellow sewing thread
- Stuffing, I use eco-friendly polyester fibre, but any stuffing will do
- Scissors and a needle
- Download PDF pattern HERE
Cut pieces from felt. Snip with tips of the scissors to create leaves.
Fold along the straight edge and stitch. Use two threads of sewing thread as two makes better seeds later on!
Turn inside out.
Use running stitch all along the edge.
Close by pulling tight and secure with a few stitches.
Add the strawberry leaf with a stitch.
Go through to the body of the strawberry to create seeds and return through the leave a couple more times to attach the leaf securely.
Then keep on going through the body of the strawberry creating more seeds. If you pull your thread tightly you will create lovely little dips that makes it look even more like a real strawberry!
Finish off by returning through the leaf and finish off with a couple of little stitches, go through the strawberry once more and cut off the thread.
And here we are! Easy peacy! Any problems drop me an email!
